Nicholas J. McElroy
Nick realized early on that he had an ear for music, and he put that realization towards a productive career throughout his twenties writing and performing. So it came as no surprise to family and friends that his photography also demonstrated an eye for composition, form and texture.
After taking a trip to Seattle, Washington to visit a close friend, Nick quickly fell in love with photography. “It felt like the first time I picked up a guitar”, says Nick.
There is a remarkable similarity between the viewing and listening senses. Why else would we say a painting or photograph speaks to us? Or how a musical passages evokes a pastoral scene.  And maybe that's the best way to describe Nick's work, whether city-scape or portrait - it just makes sense.
